The journey of our cute king will meet it end and we won't be able to see her for a while after this last episode of the first season. It put her might against the Prismer; one of the strongest magicite beast. Before going after it, our heroine needs to pick her first opponent; either with the masked man or the Arclord Ivel. Inglis herself feels torn with the choices. Sure she would love to fight the Prismer. Yet, in front of her another man with similar strengths is standing and by the looks of it, she still has to subdue both of the man and the Arclord. Alas, Ivel asks Inglis to let him defeat the masked man himself as he also makes a false ceremony to get rid of the SteelBlood Front. Unbeknownst to him, his over-confident will cost him dearly as the masked man's spear is not an ordinary weapon but a Hieral menace incarnate capable of bending time and space. Just after the spear passed through Ivel's barrier and makes a part of his body disappears,  the SteelBlood leader makes a flash work on Ivel by making his body disappeared one by one till nothing remain.
Insane edgelord versus Darth Vader cosplayer

On the academia's ground, the students has to deal with the Prismer and some of the students(including Silva) get hurt and turn unconscious. Miriela asks Yua to work as a decoy while Leon charging for his thunder gauntlet. After unleashing the thunder, Yua makes the initiative to land a punch. Unfortunately, not only that Yua's punch doesn't give enough effect to the Prismer, it also absorb Yua's body inside the Prismer slowly. In order to protect her from being completely shallowed, Miriela casts a magical barrier surrounding Yua; making sure that she will regains her form should she gets devoured completely.

Using physical blow doesn't work in Prismer..well at least she stays cool till the end 😎

Back to the Steelblood airship, Rani asks Inglis to get to the academia as soon as possible but it seems that Inglis prefer to stay above; fighting for the masked man instead. Well, the man declines her challenge and tells her to fight the Prismer instead as it just gets stronger and soon enough will reach it's perfect form. In the dimensional palace that Leone builts, Lady Ripple regains her consciousness and Silva tells her that her last summoned magicite beasts is a Prismer. The students also inform her that Miriela and Leon stands on their ground as the last remaining defense from the academia to protect the Citizens. Seeing that the monster already broke Leon's gauntlet, Lady Ripple asks Leone to stop the dimensional casting and let her deal with her last remaining relative who turns into magicite beast; the Prismer.

Ah nothing is more complete than a tragic character turns into the dark side πŸ˜‚ just kidding

Finally, Leone put down the barrier and let them back to the academia ground; in which no longer had their old academia building due to the environmental damage caused by the Prismer's blasting. Lady Ripple instantly challenges the monster alone but after giving a seemingly non destructive blows, a single slap from the monster send her body crashing to the tree. Leon and Silva get closer to Ripple and the later asks her to change her form back into a legendary weapon so that he can fight the monster together with her. She doesn't want someone as young as Silva to use a Hieral Menace yet..Silva persistency somehow creates miracle as his will alone manage to make Ripple turn into her Hieral form; a hunting riffle. Leon and Miriela try to convince Silva from pulling the trigger but the man gets too absorbed to the riffle tremendous power at hand.

FAINARU BURASUTTO!!

Suddenly Inglis just comes down from the sky; giving an elbow to Silva's guts and makes the man unconscious once more. Ripple turns back into her human form and  tells Inglis about situation at hand. The God king once again creates miracle because at this point she can move faster than light, reflecting every single spreading fire beams from the Prismer. Although a single kick to the moon can't make the beast stay above in the sky for long, the helping combination attack from the other main heroines give her enough time to think of a strategy and make the monster lose concentration. Finally, she kicks the Prismer once again to the sky and dish out another charged Aether strike. Ot one point, it seems as if she ready to sacrifice even Yua but when it gets enough damage, she jumps high closer to the Prismer and follows up the Aether strike with even stronger charged mana strike called Aether Breaker. The abomination split into a half and a blinding light spreads across the nation. After the students regains their vision back, they witness the God King reincarnate; Inglis, stands up in the Air gear with Rani along while holding the unconscious Yua in her hand. Once again, Inglis is hailed as a hero; who prevents the catastrophic disaster, save every students of knight academia, and put the Prismer to it's demise.

Inglis' mind be like " aw shit here we go again..."

The last part of the anime tells us how Inglis has been given another chance to the path of heroism. The king; who feels grateful to Inglis' bravery and her capabilities to solve difficult matter with her tremendous strengths, gives her a promotion as the King's Commander of Royal Guards. (well let's be honest she is technically the highest battle point player in your usual MMORPG πŸ˜‚). True to her path choosing however, she declines the offer and wants to stay as Rani's squire; making Rani herself shocked with her decision. All seems good now. The girls continue their study, the cafeteria has been rebuilding (The only thing Inglis and Rani got in their mind 🀣), and the peace come back to the country. Even if it may happen only for a while ;).

Final Verdict

She has one scary confident smile ;) thankfully she is the Just and Benelovence God King..I mean Queen

The reborn to master the blade is a shonen anime full with fan service, kind of repetitive jokes but somehow it retains it own charm. The story doesn't need a lot of thinking to be enjoyed and it still has it own plot twist for example, the part when the lady who makes Cyrene's tea turns out to be Steelblood agents. The cast itself is abundant and while they're imbalance in term of individual development, the four main heroines still had adequate spotlight to them. The main heroines herself is an absolute beauty and peerless; exaggerated to the part that nothing can stand in her way even if an alien or a predator makes a sudden appearance, they will get kicked to the moon. It retains a good and enjoyable viewing without needing a romance as an essence of the plot. True to the title, Inglis enjoys fighting and doesn't stray from the path of her choosing; leaving unnecessary romantic sub plot out from the window. It's fun, enjoyable, has quite few cute scenes, only get a minuses by some overused routine jokes (boob jokes etc).

Pros
+ cute designed heroines
+ plot is easy to follow yet there is plot twist in this anime
+ strong and capable main lead
cons
- over used jokes..got a bit repetitive later on
- since the main character is too powerful that she is barely explored/ gained more background story..

If I got to rate, I will give it an 8 but I hope that in the next season, they will make a better plot twist and give us the identity of the eternally mysterious masked man πŸ˜‚.

I am glad that I am reborn to master the blade once again; Episode final ;)

It's close to the end of the first season and Lady Inglis will encounter one of her best adversaries in this episode. As a continuation to the last episode, the ship that entered the country's territory belong to the Steelblood front. The menacing Ivel shows his intention right away that he has no interest to replace the Hieral Menace but knows very well that the Steelblood will more than likely trying to assassinate him. His arrival to that place is actually to lure out the opposition and tries to catch/ kill the Steelblood members. What he doesn't know is that acknowledging his intention pretty much allows Inglis to ask for the king's permission to deal with the ambassador as he is charged with treason for making false ceremony and humiliating the king on the process. The king tries to hold back by asking her to apprehend Ivel. Maybe part of it, the king still not sure about Inglis being able to defeat the Arclord. Yet, soon he will witness directly that the pretty maid is as good as she says .
bingo! I got your number; villain!

The ambassador knows that Inglis has already building a tremendous aura with her and she is brimming with confidence, making it not possible to win against her through honest mean. Therefore, he lays an invisible magical sphere around his body hoping that Inglis will get inside the sphere and lose her body parts due to the trap's magic. Fortunately, Inglis instantly realizes his trap right away so instead of charging in, she taunts him to charge his power to a specific area. She even provoke him along saying that he may had a better winning chance; while saying that she knows all along about his devious plan. Well, Evel lose it all when he takes on Inglis' proposal and charging his enhanced mana to his arms. The last thing we know is Inglis deflects his arm using a heavily charged kick and give another roundhouse kick; sending that evil little man to the skyπŸ€£πŸ˜‚πŸ€£. I knows its another anticlimactic battle again and I'm not too surprised with the outcome lol.

she is the very person they depend on and yet πŸ˜†

Inglis asks Rani to enter the Steelblood's ship. While she reluctantly agreed to join Inglis due to sheer exhaustion after fixing the King 's arm, Inglis takes Rani in her arm (technically against her will🀣). She jumps very high (bringing Rani with her) and moves from one air gear to another until they reach the main battleship; in where the Masked man and Sistia has been waiting for the assassination plan. In the mean times, the other students of knight academia are still in their homeground; waiting for the operation. Once more, they try to feed on Mana to lady Ripple to summon another beasts. For one reason, I don't know why they tries to feed mana so much to Ripple and what they want to gain from the beasts summoning because the purpose is a bit unclear for me. A bit of comedy is mixed on this part with Yua tries to leave early because the participation is deemed voluntary and the principle instantly tries to grab her from leaving 🀣. Another character development can be seen further when Silva bows his head; asking Yua to help them. While he does bicker a lot with the girl, he acknowledges her raw power and he doesn't hesitate to lower his head to help lady Ripple; the one who save him.

Four eyes proves once again that he is actually a humble one

After waiting for some time, finally Inglis has the chance she is waiting for too long. A chance encounter with a strong individual who will bring excitement to her. It's obvious that the closest being on par to her is the leader of the SteelBlood Front; the misterious masked man. Above the Steelblood battle field, Inglis duke it out one on one against the said man and since it's close to the end of the season, the anime kinda prolong the battle than usual; making sure that more minutes and frames devoted to the action sequence. The fight turns better when they exchange blows. It turns out that the man had better mastery in Aether because he can summon a pure condensed Aether sword. Not only it's bigger than Inglis ice sword, it also has higher reach and stronger in term or raw power. Inglis is off course smarter than her looks as she can still block the heavy light aether sword with her smaller ice "pick"πŸ˜‚ and sacrifice it to push the man backward. Off course that push is not enough to put adequate damage to the man because he is not as weak as the other Inglis' previous opponents. However, their battle has to stop abruptly when Ivel suddenly comes crashing to the scene; a heavy smirk is shown in his face as if he is still capable to overturn the situation.
Join the Dark Force...u re no Luke..my Luke is not that pretty πŸ˜‚

What so funny about this is Ivel still full of confidence after getting one shooted by Inglis and he still plans to exterminate both side; either from the SteelBlood faction to the land of down kingdom (including the guards who turn their weapons to him). The masked man feels glad that he doesn't need to search for their target and asks Sistia for assistance. For the first time, we witness her turns into a spear; the very idea of Hieral menace is a weapon that can turns into a being. Nevertheless, it's very ironic that the first Hieral who turns into a weapon is a rogue one, who helps a misterious man fight against their very own creators; the highlanders.

Getting kicked to the moon by Inglis might put his screw off one or twoπŸ˜‚

Back to the academia's ground, Leone is already at her limit holding the dimensional space that she makes. Fortunately, just after losing stamina and the space collapse , her brother Leon suddenly comes and helps them from the surrounding magicite beasts. It's seems that the masked man himself asks Leon directly to help them. I don't know what is his intention but for now, they (along with Leon) tries to redo giving mana to Ripple. The last part is interesting, the last summoning doesn't give away smaller beasts but a Prismer; a gigantic magicite beast which is like the one frozen in the cathedral. Inglis who sees the Prismer from above the ship just could not hide her pure excitement from seeing the Prismer turns into a reality (πŸ˜‚even if she is already in front of both Ivel and the masked man). We are going to see a big showdown very soon😲😲😲..Hold tight bros it's a jet coaster rideπŸ˜†

The episode instantly pitted Leon and Leone against each other. The battle; while it's quite good, does end short as the masked man reveals their intention to infiltrated the country. According to him, in the next four days, the new Highlander ambassador will come to the country; taking back the defective Hieral Menace (Ripple) with him to Highland. The Steelblood front plans to assassinate him as they know that he is rotten to the core. Lisselote asks why they reveal their plan to them; risking their plan secrecy. The Masked man says that their sole target is the ambassador's life and he mentions that the one who should be held responsible for the mess is the king; who sold their land to the Highlanders. After hearing from both Leone and Lisselote regarding to the assassination attempt, Inglis makes a suggestion for them to pose as the waitress during the ambassador's arrival party; waiting for the assassins and thwarts their mission.

Silva: ...now I am part of the fanservice too??😲

What really interesting from this episode is how it treats Silva respectfully; giving him a decent character background. His main reason for acting snoobish against the runeless is justified as he has a tragic past with them. Once during his early childhood, magicite beasts run amok and tries to take him and his friend's life. He was still young; inexperienced and had no means to protect them from the beasts. However, the runeless friend of him exchanges his lives for Silva's survival. When he is left alone and in utter despair, lady Ripple came and saves him from the beasts using her double golden guns. This episode even answers the reason why he specialized his weapon artifact to gun; which is due to his high admiration to his savior, Lady Ripple herself. I'm happy that this anime gives a reasonable reason for his hateful comment toward the runeless. In fact, he never has any ill will toward them and wants their survival as his tribute to his fallen friend. In contrast to Lisellote who happens to have a change of heart but less explanation to her behavior change, Silva's character's background makes his antagonistic tendency way more relatable and believable.

The funny thing is he suddenly has better spotlight than Lisellote and Leone

Speaking of the devil, the new Highland Ambassador (Evel) really makes a mess during his visit. His appearance is like a teenager with white hair; along with a dash of red and blue hairs which is apparent on his left and right side of the hair. Similar to the hair, his red and blue pupil is also makes a unique trait to his appearance. Unfortunately, in contrast to those cute physical appearance, he has smudge and cruel expression to boot; creating more villainous persona than a good looking lad. And just like what the masked man describes, he consider the lower land's civilians equal to lifestocks. Nevertheless, In spite of his ruthless demeanor, the king and every attendant to the party Bowes to him and let's him say anything bad about them. The fact that he is a complete jerk and acts even worse than Rahl makes Rani feels quite angry to what she witness during the party. Inglis however, enjoys her maid duty and doesn't even feels threatened to his presence at all.

Just a passing through maid....Just kidding..I am

The sudden appearance of magicite beasts turns the room into chaos but as usual Inglis makes a fast work to them; twirling and throwing them like dolls. The anime gets more serious when one of the SteelBlood Front assassin; disguised as a guard tries to take his life using a sword. As Inglis stops his assassination attempt and holds the man , Evel put his hand in front the assailant face; executing the guy using his mana. King Carlias lower himself in front of Evel; seeking forgiveness for the threat that may cost the ambassador 's live. Yet, the villainous Evel doesn't take long to take advantages and use the moment to handicap the king by cutting his left arm using similar techniques. The guards; angry to what he does to their king, raise their weapon against him. Nevertheless king Carlias knows that in order to save the other from highlander's wrath, once again has to bow to Evel and forbids his guards to lay a hand to their guest. It's starting to get interesting when Inglis and Rani finally steps up to make differences. First, the king needs quick treatment so Inglis asks Rani to heal his hand and attaches the arms back using her new artifact.

I AM the GOD KiNG you lowly peasant!πŸ˜†

Now we get to the good part πŸ˜†. The part when Inglis superiority makes the bad guys looks so helpless that he turns them into a sad NPC. As the ambassador ask anyone to be the arm replacement to the king, Inglis confidently volunteer herself as the replacement. Evel who wants nothing short than replacing Inglis' confidence into a crying mess just can't hide his frustration when his best techniques barely scratches Inglis. To make it funnier, his enchanted mana can only makes a small torn to Inglis left side dress (the part which Evel wants to cut Inglis arm with his mana) and she just explains to him how it may become better if he trains his mana more. Once again the episode closes with a cliffhanger as a machine comes down from the sky and Evel reveals that the highlanders has no interest with giving new Hieral Menace; telling them that soon their country will disappear from the maps. Off course; with the season about to end we will see more surprise down the line and I enjoys this episode's turn of event.

What the F**k!! is the first thing I say πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ This anime can be so hilarious at times making our expectations ruined in an instant with a very anti-climatic kick leading to the supposedly great battle into dust πŸ€£πŸ˜‚πŸ€£.To make it clearer; from the end of last episode, we got a gigantic Wolfie magicite beast landing to the academia's room; ready to make havoc in the academia. What we thought it would be a dramatic battle end in an instant when our cute gramp charged her aether into her left leg and kick that motherfather up to the moon πŸŒ™ 🀣🀣🀣🀣. Just as it falls back to the ground, Yua; who just happens to walks through the scene splits the beast into half using her chop; automatically eliminating the threat. It's so ironic, makes us want to get angry yet at the same time makes us burst into laughter for turning our hope into nothingness.

Inspired by the last shooting

There is another boob-gags comedy in this episode too; while actually it doesn't need one to make a good laugh. For instance, Yua doesn't take interest in dueling Inglis, yet she still open that possibility with the requirement that's seems impossible for her to fulfill. How in the hell she wants a secret of having a bigger "asset" as her payment for battling Inglis. For a reason, her requirement is way out of logic but one possible reason is she may only wants to tease Inglis by giving her a false hope; knowing that breast size is not something you can change right away just by asking someone else lol. To make it funnier, Inglis asks an equally dumbfounded Leone about how to make someone breast bigger. I'm not very fond of this kind of joke actually as it is a bit nonsensical with Yua only wants a bigger breast to stand out in the crowd; meanwhile she can just slap a magicite beast and make a bigger impact to her peer's adoration

Does this means a war about to break out? it's a prelude to more serious scenario

This episode straightforwardly gives Silva his redemption arc. Up front, he seems like a stout man disliking his less talented peers. However, just like Lisellote before, Silva still care enough for his juniors. He has a sense of responsibility to protect them when dangers are approaching. While this anime doesn't show how he fight the beast, it still pictures him covered in bruises; sustaining heavy injuries after protecting Lahti from the magicite beast's attack. It reminds me of my last writing about two of the possible routes he may take and it seems that he takes the redemption route. One possible reason for his change in character might be Rani's word from the previous episode. she tells him about the importance of having a Hieral Menace as a companion as he also  posseses a special rune (which means he is just like her brother Raphael, who will work closely to the Hieral Menace) and how he should be the one who could sympathize with Ripple's emotion after realizing her world turns upside down. Rani ; who has just receiving a special bow artifact from Theodore, uses it's healing talent to treat Silva's wound and like usual, Inglis shows her superiority again by tranferring some of her Godly powered Aether to amplify Rani's healing ..Viola, his bruises are gone and he is back as new; such is the power of the God kingπŸ˜‚
Does big boobs equal big brain?  aw come on πŸ˜‚

While the current episode is a bit lacking in term of entertainment value, it has a good cliffhanger nearing to the end as finally the Steelblood fronts make their move. While on patrol duty, Lisellote and Leone encounter wild magicite beast. They tries to fight the beast until a electrical lion pounces the beast and Leone realizes that it is her brother's special skill. Therefore, after following that summoned electrical lion, they meet with Leon; Leone's brother as well as the fugitive, and Sistia; the rogue Hieral Menace. Along with them, the myterious masked man also makes his appearance. What really makes it interesting is that it seems they have already infiltrated the academia for some time. Another interesting plot reveal from this anime is the masked man's real identity. Is it possible that his real identity is actually someone from the secondary casts? What if his real identity is none other than Theodore or Prince Wayne. That will make a very good twist in the end hahaha.

Rani the healer; Reborn to master the blade episode 9 Impression

Episode 8 of Reborn to master the blade starts with the students from the first years doing their running routine with both instructor Marquess and Lady Ripple cheering on them. It's an easy work for our cute gramps right? Well, Inglis is a different breed of student since she is actually lifting the Flygear, which works as a platform to the leaders', while she herself joins the running. She doesn't even run out off stamina doing two exercises at the same time while the other students trying to catch their breath running. In term of strength, Inglis has been unrivaled until now so It is about time that the anime introduces a character with power level minimal on par with her to create more balance. Since this is different to One Punch Man in which Saitama; while being overpowered, gives other characters chance to show their worth; giving them enough screentime to have decisive battle with the main opponent. The idea of Saitama becomes invincible and overpowered main character has been redeemed with the quality of his peers (they are all powerful on their own) whose main job is to show how crazily overpowered is their opponent until Saitama comes and obliterate him/her using his punch. In contrast to One Punch Man, Inglis' companion (Leone or Lisellote) doesn't get that kind of treatment. Sure they are a capable combatants on their own. However, they don't fight with the known enemies in a specific one and one duel like the one we normally see on OPM. Therefore, the idea of Inglis Eucus hogging all of the spotlight needs to be balanced by introducing a stronger enemies/allies for her to do battle with
She doesn't want to stand out but her action contradict everything XD

There are two more characters being introduced in this episode. The first one is, Silva; a green haired, glasses wearing, third years senior of the knight academia. His personality is that carbon copy of Lisellote when we first saw her. Yet in term of arrogance, he takes it up to the eleventh. For example, he discriminates both Inglis; as she is runeless, and Leone; being a traitor sister, and forbides them to choose an artifact. Inglis knows she doesn't need an artifact so she prefers to stay low. Normally when we see a character tends to be haughty and difficult to get along with, there is two paths available for them. It's either he is just a jerk with a heart of gold; who is acting rude but has a redeeming qualities (pretty much like Lisselote) or he is another villain in the making. However, the charismatic Silva is not the powerful individual that this episodes wants to introduce to the audiences.
Go forth my stand Rafael GO! GO! GO!

Comes a pink haired girl with her lazy eyes (along with bored attitudes and a difficulty to remember names) who is also a squire just like Inglis. Her name is Yua and she doesn't feel interested with fighting. Therefore, after hearing Silva says how Squire doesn't need to participate in choosing the artifact, she instantly wants to leave the place and continue napping. What interesting is principle Miriela instantly asks her to stay; literally begging her that the Ace from the second years students should be present in case something goes wrong. Her banter with Silva later reveals that during their earlier mock battle, she won the fight. From this point forward, we instantly know how great her potential is and we're on treat to behold her capabilities because lady Ripple lost her consciousness afterward and the magicite beasts get summoned into the academia rooms.

sleep little cute puppy

What makes Yua a very interesting character is because she is the real anti thesis of Inglis herself. For instance, Inglis looks for stronger opponent to fight with while Yua doesn't bother to fight neither for approval nor excitement. In addition, she proves as an Inglis equal in some area. In fact, even with heightened gravity, Yua can jump faster than Inglis and when she bonk one magicite beast in the head, it looks like she just gently tap it heads, yet the sheer amount of impact makes it fell crashing down to the floor. In term of power level, she is on par with Inglis as both of them kept throwing the beasts all over the place as if they are playing ping pong with the poor beasts as the balls XD. Inglis who feels very excited seeing someone else with that amount of power keeps asking her for a duel but everytime she did, Yua instantly rejected her offer; basically she just making sure that Inglis doesn't get what she wants; a perfect counter for the cute gramps' challenging attitude. After finishing the battle with the beasts, lady Ripple regains her consciousness. Unfortunately, Both Inglis and Yua uses full power when dealing with those beasts and it makes environmental damages surrounding the academia rooms
Inglis is officially Boobies number one now

For once Inglis' wish to fight strong opponent is granted. Lady Ripple tells her that she wants to taste Inglis' power first hand; which in turn makes the cute gramp very happy and enthusiastic. Before the match starts, Miriela gives an artifact for Leone to create a dimensional palace so that in the next Monsters summoning, the damage surrounding the area can be avoided. The battle between them takes place in the said dimensional area while their friends (Rani, Lisellote, Miriela, and Leone) watch the fight. Ripple mentions before that she and Silva makes a good team because as they continue fighting, it's revealed that she is also a gun wielding combatant. with a pair of golden gun on both hand, Ripple manages to keep Inglis from her reach for a while. For the first time ever Inglis summons an ice blade formed through her mana. Yes this is actually the time when Inglis finally uses sword instead of fighting bare handed. Not to mention that it is not even a real sword but an elemental sword made by pure mana which she just started to use. As Inglis gets closer to Ripple, she thought about how to strike her seemingly impregnable defence. Using Ripple's gun trajectory finally Inglis manages to send the bullet back at Ripple; making her bending backward and lose a few second of concentration. The battle is over when Inglis dashes forward and Crashes on Ripple body sending her flying into the dimensional wall.
Inglis finally about to master the blade (although it's not real sword)πŸ˜‚

As much as Inglis protest, her battle with Ripple comes to an abrupt end when the other realizing that Ripple absorbs the mana of the dimensional wall. The mystery of lady Ripple keeps losing consciousness and summons magicite beasts are finally revealed when she absorbs principle Miriela's mana. It seems that the Hieral Menace like Ripple absorbs a specific rune which is special like the one from Miriela and Rafael and when those mana are in full capacity, she lose consciousness and summons the beasts. Well, considering that she works closely with Rafael, it's obvious that she absorbs more mana than necessary; which in the end makes her kept summoning the beasts. Well the episode does finish with a big cliffhanger as Leone can't hold on the dimensional ward incantation. On the other hand, after absorbing Miriela's mana, Ripple fell unconscious once more and at that very moment a giant humanoid wolf like beasts drops and destroyed the the building. We knows there is a big battle nearby and we had to wait for a while to see it's continuation.

The Ace of the second years student; Reborn to Master the Blade: From Hero-King to Extraordinary Squire episode 8 impression

Another dancing party episode which means more fan service episode is nearby. While the fanservice is not the main focus on this anime, a sight of pretty girls in their party get-up, backless dress, and few scene of echiness is abound on this anime; including Cute Gramp's bouncing boobs due to Mini Rene's behavior. Ehem .. back to the main story, the first scene shows the audience that there is new Highlander's ambassador and he wants both Rani and Inglis to attend the inauguration party along with Mini Rene with them. In the similar situation with our two main heroines, Lisellote as the cancellour daughter also gets invited to the party so she asks Leone to accompany her along.
Click baits??? they are plenty today πŸ˜‚

During their time in town, Inglis and Rani Mets again with Eris and Lady Ripple while shopping for their inauguration dresses. The Hieral Menaces just finishes dealing with a magicite beast which suddenly appears in the city. One quick look is enough to know that Ripple doesn't seem so well as if she is losing her breath and pale facial expression. Eris tells the party that ever since Lady Ripple came back to the Royal capital, she has been feeling unwell and there are magicite beasts that appear from the sky. Lady Ripple has a mysterious smile on her face and while it's seem a bit too early to speculate, she may knows about what causes the beast appearance. Since Hieral Menace is an artifact weapon made by the highlanders, there is a possibility that the highlander themselves wants to create problem with the lower land citizens. Meanwhile Leone thinks that the Steelblood font may be the side responsible for the monster appearance. The story continues with Ripple giving some money from Rafael to Rani so they can buy their party dresses.

What a thoughtful young man :) Too bad Inglis doesn't lose her memory

Before the party, they meet again with Rafael. Once again he got captivated with Inglis' beauty and become very embarrassed when mini Rene appears from her cleavage. It's funny to see Inglis' reaction because she doesn't feel comfortable having "another man" looking at her voluptuous asset *cough*. As usual the two main heroines got growling stomaches due to them had fewer lunch earlier in order to eat a lot at the party. Thankfully, Rafael is such a gentlemen since he acts as if he is the one with a growling stomach when they entered the party; saving both Inglis' and Rani's face. The party got cut short from the sudden appearance of magicite beast; raining from the sky through a dimensional gates that appear out of nowhere. Inglis wants to shoot the beast but Rafael covers her and kills the beast instead. While she acknowledges Rafael's sword skills, the only thing that comes from Inglis' head is not about how she adore his gallantry or amazing sword skill performances but about how she can fight with Rafael in full power; something that even Rafa himself would never even think in his wildest dream. Fighting his own cousin in a full power battle bordering to dead or alive situation.

Inglis why you want a full power battle?..he can get injured

Principle Miriela asks Rafael to head to Prince Wayne and the new ambassador place while she and the ladies stayed on the party room to defeat the remaining beasts. It's not very difficult to deal with those beasts though as Inglis right now can makes a spirit beam right from his pointy fingers. No matter how many beasts in the room, Inglis can shoot them down using not only one hand beam spamming but two hands. After killing all of the beasts in the lounge, they met up with Rafa, prince Wayne and the new Highland Ambassador; Theodore. Like what the audiences can guess, Eris witnesses as Lady Ripple fell unconscious and she is enveloped with a kind of ominous barrier around her body. The barrier itself summons the monsters to the room party. Theodore explains that there are two factions in Higland. One is the throne faction; a group of Highlander who share their technology and Hieral Menaces to the lower land citizens and the other is the altar faction; which is against about sharing their technology to the lower land citizens. Theodore assumes that the attack may come from the altar faction of Highlander; making a possibility for another group of opponent to our heroes.

Yu Yu Hakusho Bakudan for new generation xD

How did the new ambassador knows so much about Inglis and Rani and how he wants to meet them personally will be revealed right away as he is actually Cyrene's biological brother. The kind hearted Nova's council who turns into an adorable little creature that they call Rene. Theodore wants to adopt his ex-sister and tries to get her back to human form. Nevertheless, little Rene gets her memories wiped out; forgetting her brother entirely and prefer the company of Inglis and Rani. About Theodore himself; as far as we see, he seems like a decent person as he (according to him) is Cyrene's brother. The fact that mini Rene doesn't want to be in his custody however makes me can't trust him one hundred percent. Even if she lost her memories, the sight of her older brother must be at least makes her familiar with him. Does he also holding an ulterior motive like Leon? who knows.

The fanservice rate keeps getting higher and higher lol

Ripple is awake and she remembers about what happens when she fell unconscious. She feels guilty because the beasts comes out from her and it makes her presence questioned by the other guards. Realizing that they were being used to create havoc in the land they were supposed to protect, Ripple and Eris had a brief shock and in disbelief. With the condition that Ripple can't no longer join the knight, it makes city guards weakened and can't use their power like they used to be. Therefore, Inglis suggests to Prince Wayne to let Ripple stays at the knight's academy and let's them protect her; making sure that the other knight can focus on their duty protecting the city. This episode makes a revelation about the other faction of Highlander; The Altar Faction, which makes one more problem for the main party after the Steelblood front. It is decent episode but the overused jokes about the heroines being hungry most of the times started to get repetitive. I hope we can see more excitement on the next episode.

The Hieral Menaces are threat!! ; From Hero-King to Extraordinary Squire episode 7 impression

This episode starts with a breakfast routine in the academy with Inglis and Rani enjoy the "all you can eat" meals as Inglis' winning prize for staying above the platform in the previous we episode. It's ironic that Miriela tries to save budget by limiting the free meal for three persons based on Inglis' choosing; not knowing how much dishes both Rani and Inglis can devour on their own. The two characters that appear in the last episode; Lahti and Pullum, tries to start a conversation with them. Lahti in particular has taken interest for Inglis due to her powerful strength in defeating three summoned creatures during the orientation ceremony. Nearby, Lisellote has just finishing her breakfast alone while listening closely to their conversation. One thing I catches from her expression is that she feels lonely due to her upbringing and her difficulty to start a conversation.

Here is our fanservice for today episode. Time to put a click bait xD

I have personal opinion regarding Inglis that may be different from what other may think but somehow I need to point it out. Inglis as a main character is extremely powerful as she can manipulate Aether to her liking. However, up until now, what she is doing is in contrast to what she is aspired to be...mastering a sword. For example, Up till now, I never see her brandishing her blade even once. Everytime the audiences witness her fighting worthy opponent, she will gather her Aether and convert it into mana; enhancing her fighting ability. In addition, it's kind of sad that she will even use her Godly talent to speed up her run because of her "hate losing" tendency. Being a reincarnation of a wise, benevolent king, her way of showing off is actually contrasting to her principle and it's like she would rather overuse her talent rather than really become strong on her own. It makes her character lack consistency. For instance, one times she didn't want to shine alone and ask another person to back him up (so that no one knows how powerful she is). In another times, She threw three creatures from a platform in which pressed by a gravity spell. What I want to point out is with her "cheat" feature, we never show what her actual progress is. We never see her competing with her equal in a fair match. Well, in a dead or life situation like fighting giant Cyrene or another Hieral menace threat, I can fathom her reason for using Aether abilities. However, using spell just so that she can lead the race is way overboard πŸ˜‚. The old king ...I mean the cute swordswoman has quite an ego and childish in demeanor as she will rather cheat than being in second place not knowing that without abusing Aether, she may not win.

I have the power of Gods inside me just like Bruce Almighty

The anime follows the story with the introduction of Marques, one of the instructor of the academy. He is that one guy who is fired up to his job and demands all of the students overcoming their limit and increasing their overall stamina. Therefore, he instantly instructs the students to follow him running to the flygear dock; which is located quite far from the academy. Inglis thought that the idea of building endurance through running seems too simple yet she is not willing to lose so after converting her Aether into mana, she dashed forward extremely fast. Soon after, she catches on Marques and Lahti; who is out of breath tries his best to catch them. Behind them, Leona and Rani also tries to catch up with them. When Lisselote passes Rani and Leona, she turns her head and see Rani's angry expression directed at her. It's obvious that Lisselote rejection toward Leona in the previous episode displeased Rani.

The reason for her kind side is because she is technically an angel

Principle Miriela gathers the students once more for another testing. She picked Inglis, Rani, Leona, Lisselote, and Pullum to choose the doors connected to a dimensional space. She explains further that inside the room, their mental will be tested. When Inglis enters the room, an image of a monster appears in front of her and as she prepares to fight, it disappears. The dimensional area creates images of her past opponents and while she has no problem taking them again, those images once again disappear in the thin air. Inglis feels that the mental test bores her so he just wants to get out as soon as possible by breaking the ceiling with her Aether. It is revealed that above her head, there are multilayered dimension with each of floor connected to the other participants. One of them is Lisselote; who is just one floor above Inglis' dimension, and when she peeks below, her gaze meets with Inglis. Lisellote tells Inglis about Rani's hate toward her but she replies that she may dislike her because of her treatment to Leona before.

I don't want to cheat but I don't want to redo either

ah my favorite part :D the honeymoon scene

It's one heartwarming episode with less comedy and not too much action. This episode focuses to Lisselote and her character’s development and her guilty feeling toward Leona. While her shifting from one ignorant character to an understanding one seems too sudden and a bit unnatural, it’s still passable due to the time constraint and a possible plot twist in the future. She comes from a high social upbringing and has people serving her in home. Yet she manages to shallow her pride; Bowes to Leona and humbly apologize for her misconduct. Leona in return accept her as friend and by the end of the episode, they are sharing their room together once more with Inglis and Rani join them afterward. In term of the mental test, Inglis' mental challenges doesn't affect her slightest as if she knows all along that they are all just illusions. Even the illusion of her successor doesn't make her shocked at all. Apart from the character's relation, there is also a brief introduction of a Flygear; a gear capable of loading two or three persons and has an built in mechanism to fly. The gears are solely made as a way to deal with a flying magicite beast. I don't know if the Flygear will be an important plot device in the future episode or it is only made to slow down the episode tempo and fill the time slot.

The girl with the angel wing; Reborn to Master the Blade: From Hero-King to Extraordinary Squire episode 6 impression

It's about time we learn the identity of the two girls that appears on the anime opening. Today episodes has both an action sequence as well as the introduction of the other main characters and it tries to slow down the tempo a bit and focuses more on the characters interactions. If we see the opening song, we instantly see two more female companions of Inglis and Rani. One of them has a purple hair adorned in a twin tail. Meanwhile, the other female has a straight and long blonde hair .As far as we watch, the other two still haven't make their appearance so this episode will introduce both of them. First, let's get acquainted with the lady with the twin tail purple hair whose name is Leone Olfa , she is the younger sister of the ex-holy knight turned traitor ; Leon Olfa, who appeared at the second episode. The other lady name is Lisellote Arcia who is actually the daughter of the country current prime minister. She is a lady from high class society with a cold, prideful character and can get quite judgmental at times due to her upbringing.

Leona scores homerun for the first time

The story follows Inglis and Rani who arrives at the Ahleman Cathedral. They watch the frozen magicite beast inside the cathedral; which still emits its faint life-force. Inglis just could not hide her excitement to fight the monster should it revived. Afterwards, one of the guards came and informing them about Magicite beasts ran amok in the city. Knowing our cute gramps tendency to test her might, she doesn't wait and goes to the city directly. The capital city itself is heavily guarded and the knights somehow capable of dealing with the monster. Inglis is ready for action until the girl with a purple hair asked her to leave the scene. With a bit of analyzing, Inglis find out about the sword rune engraved on her hand which is pretty much on the same level of Rani's bow rune. For a fighter, the girl makes a strong performance and can deal damages to the monster. She can expand the size of her artifact; making a giant sword which can work as a shield replacement to repel the monster. However, she seems having trouble with flying monsters until Inglis takes an initiative to jump high and drop kicked them to the ground; close enough for Leona to finish them off

Mini Cyrene is also a woman of culture xD

The focus on today episode is on Leona and how she had to endure discrimination because of his older brother's betrayal. Even the knight doesn't want to give her any reward for helping them clearing the magicite beast. The poor soul just can't catch a break as she is not involved at all to her brother wrongdoing. Yet, despite the poor treatment that he received from the town people, she believes that the magicite beasts don't differentiate their target and remain bigger threats to humanity so subjugating them takes a higher priority. In short, she is a selfless young girl whose kindred spirit is contrasting with her more dubious brother. However, the fact that her brother "kills a highlander and inspector Shioni" makes the students trying to avoid her and making a talk of dangerous individual enrolled at the academy. Even one of the main cast; Lisellote doesn't want to share room with her at first. Inglis and Rani are her first true friends in the academy as they are the first one who accepted her and let her stay with them.

How rude...I am not crazy. Just out of this world powerful

In addition to Leona and Lisellote, this episode also introduces other characters like lady Ripple. She is also one of the Hieral Menace like Eris and work closely with Rafael. There is not much character information on her on this episode only that she admits that along with Eris have a longer lifespan than ordinary human; enough to be called a very old lady. It's funny that Inglis just realizing how she is also an old ojisan inside; ironically conflicted with her REAL current state as a young, energetic girlπŸ˜‚. Other new named cast members being introduced in this episode including Prince Wayne and Principle Miriela, the headmaster of the academy. There is also two named squires named Lahti and Pullum whom all of them just only make a very brief appearance expect of the principals.

Prince by Day, A Capped Crusader by night LMAO

Right after the the ceremony of the new knight enrollment, Miriela gathers the newcomers to start their first student orientation. Afterward, she raises the ground below the students; making a higher platform above the ground level and put a gravity field inside the area. The spell itself makes the students feel heavy due to the gravity around the platform have been raised; making them have a difficulty standing and moving their body. Then, she summons three magical creatures using the ground nearby as well as a sand hour nearby. Her first trial is whoever left standing in the platform after ten minutes have ended will get free meal for a month at the school's cafeteria. Her plan backfired as Inglis instantly throw the creatures in less than a half minuteπŸ˜‚; making her having to let the entire students free meal for a month. Off course she instantly tries to save the school's budgeting by telling them that the first take is just a demonstration. After another failed "demonstration", she realized all along that "that specific white haired lady" is over the top powerful. The only thing she can do is negotiating with her to stop using her power in the trial. In the end, Inglis lets the creatures throw all of her friends with her being the only remaining person above the platform. Well, at least free meals for three person lasting three months is still a more affordable option than having to pay the entire group of students’ meal for one month.

I somehow can see how she lifted the monster and flipped it out of the arena

This episode also makes a brief comeback of Rafael who is also turns into a young adult. And by the looks of it, he got captivated with Inglis' beauty; which is actually quite funny and ironic because first of all, they are actually blood related (cousin) and second, Inglis has a spirit of an old man intact inside of herπŸ˜‚. It is a light hearted episode with more on character focus. Inglis’ strengths is still way above the competition and it has been overused lately. With her Tendou Souji's type of perfection, she may hardly get any more character development. In my humble opinion, it's more believable for Lisellote's "break the ice queen" character development or Leona's turns into a more confident person; embracing her inner peace after a journey of self-worthiness as the anime's main character progression instead of our lovely Inglis (who is already introduced as a strong character).

Hieral Menace is a term used for an artifact weapon crafted by the highlander with a capabilities to take form as a human being. However, l As far as I am watching this anime, I still haven't seen any Hieral Menaces turning into their original form and their appearance seems like a normal person too me. However, unlike the knights that utilizing their runes to enhance their artifact, they seems capable of surpassing normal human capabilities in battle; bordering to superhuman feats (compared to Inglis their power doesn't mean a lot of course). In continuity from the last episode, the Hieral Menace lady that appears name is Sistia Rogue. In contrast to Eris, she despises the highlander as much as Leon. And while fighting Inglis she tells that a kind and benelovence highlander is just a facade or a mask to hide their ugly form. Inglis' responds to her about helping Cyrene is gold though. She fights not for the purpose of the battle but because he needs money to buy their foods. Inglis stays true to her characterization as fighting for idealism is no longer necessary for her. If she wants someone to protect the country and done the hero's job, she can always ask for Rafael's aids πŸ˜‚.In addition for paying her bills, taking the offer makes her meet with another Hieral menace and get the exciting battle she wishes for. It's a win - win situation for our pretty battle maniac πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.
Sistia: I don't fight the powerless..*turns Super Saiyan mode

Since the last incident with Rahl, Inglis continues to polish her swordsmanship diligently and this enhances her capabilities even further. One important thing is she is not only proficient with the blade but also a natural brawler. Even her current tussle with Sistia proves that her fists is enough to do the talking. The Hieral Menace threw her best thrusts over and over and Inglis easily evade the incoming blows, she even teasing Sistia a bit, and sending a knuckle sandwich to her in retaliation. Off course Sistia doesn't want to give up so easily, so she use a time and space magic, in which a magical incantations appear in thin air and tries to stab Inglis from behind. With those dimensional circles, she can thrust inside the one in front of her and it will transmit the attack out from the other circle; making an unpredictable spear thrusting from many directions. Still, Inglis somehow can see all of the attacks and avoid them rather easily. It's rather funny that in front of Inglis all of her opponents seem like an idiom" it's all bark and no bite"(despite the fact that they really do their best fighting her).

This is how u do the uppercut thing xD

Despite her battle prowess, Inglis still has a soft spot for Rani. When Sistia grabs and chokes Rani's neck using her time and space magic, Inglis gets really pissed for her dirty methods to get away. Even though she has no other choice to let her free, she made a point that the next time she tries to harm Rani, she will annihilate her for sure. Here we can see that although she enjoys fighting, Rani safety is her first priority and the years they spent to each other really bonded them together. This is also the very first time the audiences can see Inglis' angry expression and she looks damn legit scary. Kudos for whoever draws her expression as I can feel the emotion overflowing from the picture.

Angry waifu is bad.. extremely scary...run for your life!!

Lady Cyrene is actually has a kind hearted spirit as she never had an ulterior motive behind her task to apprehend the knights. In fact she plans to let them rejoin the city knight and helping her defending the city; so contrast with what Sistia remarked to Inglis about the highlander before. Cyrene even tells both Inglis and Rani about the mystery of the city's mana disturbance. underneath the city, magical incantations sapped the natural mana surrounding the area. When enough number of mana is gathered, the incantations will make the city floating; which makes it has a similar state to the highlander's city. One drawback is the real highlander don't accept people from the land underneath as their equal. It's either the citizens become the highlander's slave or they had to leave the floating city as soon as possible. This episode really tells us about the situation regarding highlander and how they treat the people from the land below. Therefore, having a benevolence character from a highlander such as Cyrene is a bit rarity. It's delivers the story with simplicity and clear explanation that's why it's a plus episode's story-telling for me.

Ah I didn't expect this twist XD ok this is nicely done

Well ...if you think this episode going to wrap up nicely without problems in horizon. I have a bad news for you because...Without anyone knowing, the lady who prepares the tea for Cyrene(Mimosa) secretly pours a prism powder inside her tea. This prism powder is the same essence that Lion uses to transform Rahl into a mindless beast and before long we see how the kind hearted highlander turns into a gigantic monstrosity; a magicite beast. She still retains her consciousness though and still has a compassion even at her current state; enough to make the heroines deciding to save her from complete obliteration. Using the combination effort from Rani's archery and Sistia's time and space magical skill to distract her, Inglis gathers all of her aether into mana unleashing a powerful freezing magical spell; which turns the magicite beast into a frozen statue.

Does this man killed the Gods and stole their power? we will see

This episode also shows one of the antagonists (or chaotic antihero?) from this anime; a mysterious man without identity who leads the Steelblood font as well as the man who declares war to the highlanders. It's still uncertain if he will be the big bad in this anime as he is more like a character who stands in a grey area morality. It's true that He doesn't care for any collateral damage and the survival of the lower land citizens. However, he ensure Inglis that his Steelblood font doesn't intend to bring them into further trouble and only focuses the target on the highlander. After describing the situation, he made a pact with Inglis that he wants nothing more than destroying the circles below the city and asking Inglis to leave the city after he helps her recovering Cyrene from her mindless state.

Why I got jealous seeing this WHY?

The nameless one is as powerful as Inglis if we see how he can control Aether. It's a rarity for an individual to grasp a similar power to a divine knight; a knight blessed with the power of the God/Goddess. Inglis even mentions that without any God in this continent, there is a possibility that his power has a connections to the missing presence of Deity in the current era. While technically being an antihero, he is also the person who somehow save Cyrene from his gigantic magicite beast state by using his  Aether to disperse the one inside the beast's body. In the end, Cyrene lost her memories and turns into a cute little creature that accompany both Inglis and Rani; continuing their journey to the Capital city. This episode is great because it manages to explains many thing from this anime and I start to grasp the overall idea behind it. The Floating city and the highlanders, the effect and the appearance of the  prism powder, as well as it starts to unveil the mystery of the Goddess' disappearance. Good episode πŸ‘πŸΌ.
