elcome back to the land of Mana with the Teardrop of Crystal episode 4. In the start of the episode, there was a dancer named Revanshe performing in front of a single creature; a basket fish. That basket fish was quite a difficult character and he considered himself better than the other so that he even treated the waiter with bad attitude. By the way; this episode didn’t even mention the name of the current city. However, if you already play the game, you might know that Shiloh and Inspector Boyd now stayed at Polpota Harbor. During this time, they were looking for another Jumi that was known to have a blue eye since she/he was a Sapphire. None of the town peoples knew anything about Jumi but once of them mentioned of a mysterious person wearing a complete armor plate in the town. Since there was a possibility that he might have a pair of blue eyes, they were looking for the man. When Inspector Boyd met the guys, he took a peek to the person eyes (whose face covered by an iron helmet). He was surprised that the man (Toma) had a pair of blue eyes but when they checked on his chest, they didn’t found a sapphire etched on it.

Why did the character so haughty became like different person in a few scenes. a bit of inconsistency

Toma explained that he went to Polpota harbor to find out the reason of the sinking of the imperial ship. Since his brother; Thona (also one of the crews) lost his life in the accident, he wanted to know what really happen that made the ship sunk. Just then, a fisherman (or a fisher dolphin) came and told them that if they wanted to know about the mystery of the ship, they ought to seek out the help of a basket fish. He mentioned that for some time, the basket fish was able to determine anything that happened in the ocean with the help of his mysterious blue stone. Off course both Shiloh and Inspector Boyd knew that he might have the Jumi’s core all along. Toma instantly went away and tried to find the fish as soon as possible.  After meeting with the same basket fish that Shiloh and Inspector Boyd met in the beginning, Toma begged him to tell the fate of the sinking ship. At the beginning, the fish didn’t want to tell but after more persuasion from Revanshe the dancer, he took the blue gem inside his basket and showed Toma about the vision of the accident. The fate of the ship was sealed when during their expedition a beast-woman hybrid monster called Sea Hag flew above the ship. The monster’s singing could make the entire crews lost consciousness and in the end the Imperial ship crash to the coral and sink.  Toma thanked the fish for the revelation and the fish just told him to leave. Before long, Inspector Boyd and Shiloh entered the place. Seeing the Sapphire in the basket fish’s hand, Inspector Boyd interrogated the fish asking if it belong to a Jumi and he tried to forcefully snatch the jewel while the fish hold on it like his dear life. Thankfully Shiloh stopped Inspector Boyd from using force.

Even his smile was cute lol

Inspector Boyd and Shiloh asked the basket fish how he managed to possess the blue Sapphire. Shiloh persuaded the basket fish to give away the Sapphire because he might be targeted by the Jewel Hunter Sandra. Shiloh even talked that should they catch Sandra Later, He will give the Sapphire back to him. The basket fish then told them a story. Weeks before, he found out a body washed ashore. He was a very beautiful man with a light blue hair and eyes like an ocean. He introduced himself as Sappho and soon they started to bond as a friend.  He told the fish that he was chased by the people who hunt Jumi’s Jewel. Before long, he had a Jumi partner named Marina. The lady was his knight and he was the hime type Jumi which means that she was the one holding the sword and fights any assailant. Unfortunately, Marina had to sacrifice herself when Jumi’s hunters were hot on their trail and soon after that he got washed in the shore before the fish found him. After finishing his sentence, he took the Sapphire out of his chest. The basket fish shocked that he literally commits suicide. He told the Basket fish that he could not protect himself and if he stayed with him, the basket fish might be in danger later. So, he gave his life force to the fish and told him never to give the Sapphire to anyone. In the end he vanished; leaving the fish mourning for his dear friend.

Their friendship didn't take long but the emotion is in there.

Suddenly, the dancer Revanshe asked the fish to give the Sapphire to her. The fish of course rejected it since although he liked the girl’s dancing, the promise he made to his dear friend was more important. Shiloh tried to protect the fish but the dancer just slammed Shiloh easily. Then in instant, she kicked the fish and took the Gem.  She uncovered her disguise as Sandra in front of Inspector Boyd. Afterward, she ran away with the Saphire in her hand. Shiloh who just stands up told the basket fish that he would gave his friend back. As they chased Sandra, Seraphina who happen to be in the Polpota harbor notice Shiloh running. They finally cornered Sandra and Shiloh brandished his sword ready to take her on in one on one. Unfortunately, Sandra was proved to be superior in fighting. After swept Shiloh, he destroyed Shiloh’s sword using only her feet. Then he kicked him so hard in his stomach sending him flying and crashed to the wall. Sandra was about to stab Shiloh using the broken sword until Seraphina jumped in and saved Shiloh from being stabbed. After Sandra took her leave, inspector Boyd asked Seraphine to take Shiloh back to Domina city. He told Seraphina that he would continue pursuing Sandra on his own and asked her to convey his message. Shiloh should stop looking for Sandra.

Review

This episode at least had a better storytelling than the last one. What still makes me wonder was the inconsistency of the basket fish character. At the beginning of the show, the anime told us how kind of jerk his attitude was toward Shiloh and Inspector Boyd. He even threw a coin to the waiter face at the beginning. However, when he was pictured finding Sappho for the first time, he helped him recover in his house and he was even talk politely to him. This makes me wonder a bit, is he was the same basket fish that appeared on the beginning of the anime? I mean seriously; if he met first with Sappho and acted that kindly. Then how did his behavior change so much after his dead. It was quite weird lol. The good thing about this episode was the theme of friendship between Sappho and the basket fish was spot on. There was a heartwarming moment between the two of them like when they were doing chores together or when they were fishing. I don’t know why he act kindly toward Sappho; a complete stranger he just found lying in the shore. There is a possibility that Sappho’s delicate features (round face, long and light blue hair) made him look like a girl and we know that the fish was a bit of a womanizer lol. Though it still had an emotional scene on it particularly when Sappho decided to leave the world and gave his Sapphire to the fish. The part when he disappeared and told him that he will always be with him truly made me feels the emotion that this anime wanted to convey in this episode.

Chun li taught Sandra her famous kick xD

The battle between Sandra and Shiloh while happened very fast was not so bad but why it was so one sided lol. Sandra had gut kicked Shiloh and broke his sword using only her feet. In fact, as long as I watched this anime, apart from defeating the two little witches, I never saw Shiloh won any single battle with the bosses’ lol. For example, Du’inke from the Mekiv cave beat Shiloh and Lady Black Pearl had to appear to save him. Then, Sandra had beaten him during their encounter not only once but twice. I felt that he got nerfed a lot in the anime. In the original game, Shiloh was proficient with so many weapons. He could use a glove, a nunchaku, a spear, and even bow and two daggers. In here, he only used his sword. And his acrobatic abilities also looks very pale compared to Sandra. Well at least in this episode; he still gave a bit of fight than the last one. I hope the next episode will be even better

Synopsis.

No way!! Suletta ran away from Guel. She flew right away using the Aerial; rejecting his marriage proposal due to the sudden shock and heavy embarrassment. Meanwhile the entire students who were watching the scene just could not hide their excitement of this sudden turn of event. In the other place, the Bennerit’s Board of directors had just contacting Vim jeturk via the tele conference. They told him that with Guel losing twice, they might be thinking of reducing the company’s funding. The scene moved back to the classroom. Miorine asked Suletta why she wore an ordinary student uniform. After taping her phone, Sulleta’s uniform change back to the same white uniform that she wore after winning her first round against Guel. Miorine said that the white uniform was the symbol as the reigning holder as well as Miorine’s groom. Guel came into the class and told Suletta that he had not even a slightest interest to her. However, he still took his time to apologize to Miorine for his past behavior especially after ruining her garden. Since Suletta staked for Guel apologizing to Miorine, his defeat mean he had to lower his head as the loser.

That's the fastest genre changer ever LMAO back to Yuri we are

The scene moved to the area where students were tested as a mobile suit pilot. The first part showed one of the mobile suits trying to avoid land mines with a spotter gave navigation to the pilot regarding to the mines location. When it came to Suletta’s turn, she got immediate fail because she didn’t have a spotter and a mechanic in her team.  Having a navigator and a mechanic is a must to undertake the test and Suletta had no close friends in that place (expect that lazy eyes Miorine xD). Meanwhile Chitauri Panlaunch also known as Chuchu had just about to start the test. Just as her mobile suit passed one land mine, suddenly her monitor turned into a complete black which making her unable to see the surrounding area. After losing the balance, her mobile suit slipped and fell into one of the land mines which made her fail the exam too. After checking the mobile suit head, she knew that someone just spray a slow acting masking spray. It made her furious since someone deliberately sabotaged her test.

Aw you had became a TsunTsun too

Both Chu-chu and Suletta failed their test but they still got a makeup exam in the next three days. Suletta tried to find a spotter and a mechanic but all of the persons she asked to join refused her offer because they were afraid about making enemy with the house of Jeturk. Nika and her earthian friends met with Suletta while she was searching for team candidate. Suletta asked Nika if she could become her mechanic. However, Nika kindly refuse because she already became the Mechanic for Chuchu. In spite of that, Nika invited Suletta to come to the Earth house (the place where the Earthian met). She asked her friends if one of them could help Suletta supporting her make up exam. Just after a boy named Till gladly accepted to be Suletta’s spotter, an enraged Chu-chu came and tried to hurt Suletta physically using a wench for coming to the Earthian’s place.

Chu-Chu the G.O.A.T

After the small incident in the Earth house Suletta was feeling down because the time for remedial exam grew nearer. Elan Ceres came and told her should she wanted to join his house team and she gladly accepted until Miorine came and told her to stay away from Elan. Miorine considered Elan as an enemy because he belongs to the house that wanted to overthrow the membrane. Then, Miorine told Suletta that if she wanted a spotter and a mechanic, she could just ask her from the beginning. Miorine took Suletta to a room that used to be the chairman’s room in which includes a small garden inside. After reading the exam manuals, Miorine already figured out about her jobs and since she too didn’t have a crew, she decided to support as both a spotter and a mechanic for Suletta. During the night, Miorine who had just wake up found Suletta still studying her material. She asked Suletta why she worked too hard for her exam. Suletta said that she had a dream that one day she can open a school in Mercury so that there will be more people coming to that place. Miorine argued that she had too much burden in her shoulder already and she should just find her happiness instead.

Smart, Beautiful, know  how to pierce one heart too (that lazy eyes is a plus too)

The days of the makeup system started with Miorine acted as both Suletta’s mechanic and spotter. Before the exam, Chu-chu said to Suletta that if she had already got “the princess” as her partner, she should not have come to the Earth house (while saying that they were rotten Spacian). Miorine reprimanded Chu-chu that she had no right to call other rotten as that would turn her similar to the racial Spacian. Without their knowledge, the two Spacian girls who had quarreled with the Earthian back in the cafeteria had just sabotaged Sulettta’s mobile suit. They were spraying the head of Suletta’s mobile suit with the masking spray. As time went by, the spray started to take effect and it covered the head making the visibility in Suletta’s cockpit turned into a black screen. Even with the very disadvantages, Miorine kept cheering on Suletta and asked her to keep repeating even though she kept failing due to the zero visibility. Chu-chu, who happened to be nearby, noticed that Suletta also had the same situation with her before.

The stress accumulated through the failure made her broken

After numerous errors, Suletta broke down crying, she cried because she was frustrated failing the test again and again. She never wanted to stand out in the academy. For her, being the reigning holder suddenly pushed a heavy burden on her. For example, other students started to avoid her due they afraid that the Jeturk’s home would consider them as enemy. While listening to Suletta’s cry, Chu-chu noticed the two girls who she had a fight with her in the cafeteria before had been laughing out loud in the nearby area. Instantly she went to them and punched one of the girls in the face. The other girl and Chuchu then had a brawl and kept delivering blow to each other. Suletta and the boy from the Earth house tried to stop their quarrel only for the Spacian girl to indeliberately hit Suletta. Chu-chu then gave her the last shot and the panel closed. The next scene changed to Miorine and Suletta talked to the Earthian students. Nika gave a suggestion for the other earthian that they should take Suletta into the earth house. Chu-chu off course didn’t like her suggestion at first but after seeing what she had gone through, she let Suletta into the house with one requirement that she should be considered as the senior.

Review

I like this episode because it had a decent character story telling. In this episode Chuchu had a deeper focus than the other character which was quite surprising for me. She didn’t get enough focus on the previous episodes and here we got a character background and development for her. First she got other people from earths who cheer on her study. They were the same earthian who work or live with her before back in the earth. Second, while we saw at the beginning that she hold grudge against the spacian, she mellowed during this episode after seeing Suletta and Miorine; especially after the later kinda chew her up about her discrimination tendency toward the spacian. At the end she let Suletta to join the house (with a bit of tsundere remark off course xD)

The last thing the Spacian girl saw before passed out xD

I love how Suletta and Miorine started to develop their relation bit by bit. It was not the first time they work together yet this was the first time Mio let Suletta using her room. That's a major upgrade seeing the ever unsocial princess letting up other person to share a room with her. The relationship between them could be called as a good friend for now but I like how Miorine kept supporting Suletta like any good wife should be lol. The part where Suletta could not sleep and had the conversation about making school in Mercury also had a deep meaning. For one reason, their way of thinking was a polar opposite. For instance, Miorine was more selfish and care less about helping others that she didn’t know well. Meanwhile, Suletta wanted to create school in Mercury so that there would be more people who lived in Mercury. With more people coming to Mercury, business will prosper and there will be more opportunity for the people living there. In addition, just like Chuchu, Suletta also had people that she hold dear back in the Mercury. However, despite their differences, both of them had a right argument. Suletta wanted to make her home planet prosper. Meanwhile Miorine cared enough for Suletta to stop thinking about other and focused on her well-being first. They were basically cared for the other (with Miorine being a bit more tsundere lol)

She looks better with her hair down isn't she?

What is the best part of this episode? Off course the brawl Lmao. At least Chuchu could held her own and fight like a man (or a woman: P). the moment of fight while didn’t take too long was enough to show us Chuchu could take and dish some hit. It showed that the girls in this anime were more or less far from the princess stereotype. It manages to stay away from flat characterization too. Even Miorine’s usual eye glare made her more endearing now Lmao. Suletta while showing weakness managed to show a decent emotion and people could emphatize with her. Back then I might not care about the characters in this anime.. Their design was a bit generic in my personal taste.  Should they become standardized, ordinary characters, I might drop the show lol. However, now they started to show their charm and I became more interested to finish this series.  It was a good episode and I hope you enjoy this episode as much as I am.

Synopsis

The episode three for Legend of Mana Teardrop of crystal started with Inspector Boyd and our boy Shiloh headed toward the Goto Grottoes. In the temple of healing, Inspector Boyd met with the leader of the nuns who work on the temple and they immediately talked about the Sandra’s letter. The leader of the temple said that it was a possibility that Sandra targeted their sacred torch. The leader explained that once the soldier who got wounded after their fight with the faeries got healed by the nuns using the sacred torch. Shiloh asked the nuns’ leader if she knew a Jumi residing in Gato Grottoes. She told them that they never knew any Jumi in that city. Inspector Boyd wanted to inspect the sacred torch so later on, they headed to the torch chamber. In there, they met with a man wearing a reddish robe with a flaming motive named Ruben. He had a responsibility to light up the torch kept burning.

Why did all Jumis looks handsome& Pretty? is it because they are basically gemstones?

Inspector Boyd decided to do inspection to check the surrounding area while Shiloh headed to town to ask around about the Jumi. After a few stroll, Shiloh saw a jewelry store in the town and entered the place. Inside the store, someone was there analyzing the stone. The man who analyzed the jewelry said that the stone owner wasn’t there at the moment yet he knew a lot about jewelry. Shiloh asked whether he knew a thing about Jumi in town. His instant reply was whether Shiloh was looking for a Jumi core. Shiloh asked if the store got Jumi’s core to sell yet he told him that the core was very valuable and there was no possibility that the store had them. Shiloh later explained that he got Jumi friends that were looking for their tribe. Unfortunately, he got no clue about a Jumi whereabouts in the town.

Nicollo with different color palette  xD

After leaving the shop, Shiloh continued his search by asking the townspeople about the Jumi yet all of them said the same thing. They didn’t know any Jumi in the town. As he was looking for the place in the cave where the nuns producing a liquor called the blessing elixir he overheard some people having a conversation. He went to source of the voice and found a beautiful and fair maiden talking to a small fairy. The fairy noticed that someone was watching them and instantly hid behind the lady. Shiloh came out and introduced himself and he apologized if his appearance made the fairy afraid. The brown haired lady introduced herself as Serafina and she asked Shiloh about why he wandered in the cave. After explaining his intention to search for the liquor making place, Serafina guided him to reach the place. The first thing Shiloh did after meeting the nuns (who work making liquors) was asking them whether they know about a Jumi’s in Gato Grottoes. Once again, Shiloh had to accept disappointment since they too didn’t know anything about a Jumi.

Somehow it feels like a dating sim not an action RPG anime

Serafine asked Shiloh why did he searched for Jumi and he replied that he wanted to help his Jumi friends; Ruri and Shinju hime, finding their tribe. Meanwhile, they took some time to enjoy the local delicacy which was called the green ball bun. The Bun was look like a green ball which is a bit disgusting due to it had an insect leg on it, making it less appetizing. Although full with hesitation, Shiloh found it quite delicious. After another conversation regarding to how the Jumi looks like, Serafine suddenly mentioned that she had met a Jumi before. Shiloh instantly asked her where she met the Jumi. She mentioned the temple. Shiloh thanked Serafine, said his farewell and tried to get to the temple as soon as possible. The only person in the temple expect for the nuns was the flame keeper, Rubens. Just as he meets Rubens, Shiloh instantly asked Rubens if he was a Jumi. He wanted to stay with him to protect him from Sandra’s attack. Also, he asked Ruben to meet with his two friends Ruri and Shinju hime. Ruben was against the idea. He explained that once upon a time, Jumi’s people were gathering in a bejeweled city and they had their own leader. In some turn of event, the leader of the Jumi tribe; a princess who specifically could heal the other jumi, got kidnapped by one of the member and since then, they started to suspect one another as the kidnapper which in the end made them disbanded one by one. Ruben said that as long as they could not learn to trust completely, they would end up getting separated again in the end. So it would be the best for Shinju hime and Ruri to have each other rather than finding out other Jumis like him.

That's a reassuring word to say xD

Just as they talked suddenly a little sproutling came running into the room, crying. He was sobbing due to the terrible stomachache he had. There was another nun nearby who tried to ease the Sproutling pain’s. She told the Sproutling that the reason why his stomach was hurt was because of a Popo bug got inside his stomach. The Sproutling beg the Nun to cure him. Out of sudden, the nurse said that instead of giving him a medicine, it would be best if she just tore of his leaf and took the popo bug directly. Shiloh said that tearing a leaf from a sprouting may kill them and the little leaf people started to get scared because he didn’t want to die. The nun actually was quite serious with her words as she pinned the little leaf man to the floor. The nun commanded Rubens to tear off the sproutling leaf. She said that the all purpose medicine created from a sproutling could even cure a petrified person. She mentioned Ruben's sweetheart who turned into stone in city named Geo and asked him not to hesitate in order to cure her. Ruben asked why did she knew about his sweetheart condition. The nun just opened the veil from his mouth for a few second; revealing her face as Sandra.. and she offered him a knife to finish the job. Ruben's thought for a few second and then said that he could not do it. In the nick of time, Shiloh crashed himself to the nun and told the sprouting to run away fast (which the sproutling did right away).

Sandra use roundhouse kick!..Its super effective!! 2 HP remaining

Enraged with Shiloh action, Sandra kicked Shiloh strong enough to push him and make his back crashed to the nearby wall. Sandra told Ruben that she was disappointed with Ruben's hesitancy to save his sweetheart. She walked closer to Ruben. As if frozen with the Jewel hunter aura, Ruben just paralyzed when she stabbed his stomach using the dagger. As Ruben fell to his knees, Sandra threatened him that if he didn't want anything happen to his core he had to cry. Feeling that it took so long, Sandra tore of Ruben core. It was a ruby stone etched to his chest and as he was dying, he said his sweetheart name one last time, Diona. Shiloh took Ruben's dying body to his arms. Before vanishing, he muttered that he wanted to meet her lover once more time. In the aftermath, Inspector Boyd came to the scene asking about what had just happened. Shiloh explained that Sandra just took Ruben's core and left the scene. Also, Shiloh asked the inspector to tell him should he got another case request that closely related to Sandra

Review

To be honest, I feel sleepy while watching this episode lol. The reason why I did not feel excited was due to the fact that I knew beforehand about Ruben’s fate here. It was obvious since the producer wanted to stay true to the original storyline, as the player of the game, there was no plot twist or sudden turn of event on it. The anime was like a role playing game in general; collect information, find the next event point, then went again to another point event, and then the character entered dungeon and fight monsters and bosses. However, the anime that I watched today only focused on the first and second part only. It focuses too much on plot and conversations which made it quite boring. In addition, it didn’t manage to up the tension into a more impactful moment.  Like when Ruben somehow found out that the person in front of him was Sandra. What did he do? He just standing there gasping like he just want to accept his fate as a sacrificial lion. There was no apparent emotion on it as well as any resistance. What about our boy Shiloh? After Sandra kicked him, he was just stay there and let the event happen before his eyes. He did try to save the little sprouting but when the real target of Sandra was in danger, he somehow just sat there unable to do anything.  The moment when Sandra took Ruben’s core was maybe the only part where this episode tried to redeem itself; the dead of one the Jumis.

Fatality....Flawless Victory

SquareEnix used Ruben’s demise as the main reason why this anime (or the game to be exact) while  seem light and cheerful had a serious dark side on it.  It wanted to show the viewers that they mean business; anyone could die in this anime (input evil laugh here). However, they forget about us, the gamer who had played the original game. For us Rubens was just an emotionless NPC created to be sacrificed so that the plot would continue. If we follow the anime from the first episode, we barely know him. Even if we were a new viewer, his dead would bring little emotional impact for us. More so, we (the original players of the game) already saw them all (the Rubens events) before lol. We expected a gripping animation or else if they could not find any reason to change the story at least make it looks more entertaining. Add a bit of humor to make us laugh, make smart jokes, or if this should be tragedy, bring more emotion to the character. In a sense, this was a disappointing episode for me. In another area, this anime even tried to show a glimpse of Nicollo from the fairy’s word. But for what reason?. Technically this anime only focused on the Jumi’s arch of the game so the addition of Nicollo’s part was actually…unnecessary.  He was there just to fill the time slot lol. The teardrop crystal itself was actually the title of the Jumi’s arc episode finale in the game so.. Only Ruri and Shinju hime will have a decent focus on the anime. Neither Nicollo nor other Dominas’ town NPC would have significant importance to the main plot. The only important scene apart from Rubens losing his core this episode was the introduction of Serafina. It was important because she was technically the second Shiloh; which may provide another point of view from the second protagonist. Although she was more or less a female Shiloh in the original game, I heard that there was a manga adaptation in which she became Shiloh’s sister or something. Well that’s how this week episode concluded. I hope I didn’t feel sleepy again next week haha

Synopsis

The third episode of Gundam Witch From Mercury started with Sulleta and Miorine talking in the corridor about the next duel. Sulleta told Miorine about her 'what to do list: while attending the academy like getting friends, sharing contact number with her friends, calling her bestie with a short name, and one last thing "to get a date" which she said in a whisper due to her embarrassment. She said that if she married, there will be no way to finish her lists. However, Miorine told her that the marriage between them would not happen right away because of their age limitation. Miorine told her that getting into the earth and run away from the academy were her goal at the moment so she didn't really care if Sulleta date someone else. Therefore, she asked Sulleta to promise her and stick with her as her fiancée till the day when she could escape happen. In the other place, Guel who was inspecting the new mobile suit  Darilbalde, found something that really tick him off. He noticed that the red mobile suit had a built in Artificial Intelligence that enable it to moved by itself. He spoke angrily to the maintenance crew for not trusting his piloting skills until his father came and slapped him. Vim argued that his pride was childish because in the next match, the win was more important than anything and the company's future rest in the next outcome.

Promise me you will be my only groom

Back to our Heroine, she was talking to her mother using a mobile phone. Sulleta asked why the people from Bennerit kept calling Aerial as Gundam and they also considered her as a witch. Her mother calmly said that she never raised a witch and she would always be her precious daughter. The camera moved to her mother's table and there was lady Prospera's helmet on it. She met with Vim Jeturk later and gave away a USB drive that contained the proof of Vim's plan on assassinating Delling. That was the main reason why Vim didn't complain about the mobile suit duel proposal because she technically blackmail him before the council meeting. In the next scene, Sulleta met with Nika Nanaura again and the short haired girl instantly asked her about the Aerial's specification until Guel and his friends came. Guel asked her to prepare for their next match and Sulleta unknowingly told Guel that she felt relieve to battle him again. It made Guel felt annoyed because Sulleta seem to underestimate him. Sulleta, who realized that she choose a wrong words, instantly told them that she had to go.

The word "date" was mentioned because she was jealous of the possibility someone else dating her groom

Scene moved to Shaddiq Sennely who was talking with his father over the phone. He already got the intel that lady Prospera was Sulleta's mother and the reason she wore a mask was because of the accident in Mercury that making her losing her arm and eye (although in the scene before we see no problem with her eye. Maybe she got artificial eye). The only thing that Shaddiq didn't know was about the mystery of Gundam Aerial maker because there were no mechanics on that place not to mention the amount of  funding capable to develop a machinery as advanced as Aerial in Planet Mercury. On the next scene, we saw Sulleta gave fertilizer to Miorine at her garden until someone came. It was Elan Ceres; the man who gave Miorine some food before. Miorine told Suletta that this man was no ordinary student but one of the dueling committee  which means he was also a capable pilot. Elan asked Suleta her contact information so he could contact her easier. At the next scene, Sulleta was summoned to the dueling commute room and she was greeted by Shaddiq Sennely. Inside the room, there was also Guel Jeturk who still looked so pissed with her.  Elan asked both Guel and Sulleta to perform the oath before the duel. After the oath performance over, Cecilia, one of the dueling committee sarcastically said hat Guel was so lucky since he had a high position person as a father that the last duel outcome was voided. Sulleta suddenly said that it was wrong to make fun of a person who accepted a duel and did not run away. In the lift, Guel asked Sulleta why did she try to preserve his pride and did not mock him instead. Suleta said that it was her mother who told her. If you run away you can only find safety but if you move forward you may get two things.; Recognition and Experience.

Using very advance A.I. The Darilbalde could use the bits to protect it's weak spot.. very neat

The battle between Aerial and Darilbalde started and viewed by the entire academy. During the first phase of the battle, the Darilbalde could evade any shot from aerial's beam riffle but it seemed that the computer took majority of the control. Guel felt so frustrated that despite how well the red mobile suit perform, it was the machine itself that work and decided the best route on its own. While Sulleta shoot using a beam rifle, suddenly the heat detector unit showered the room making the beam rifle useless. Since the rifle use heat as its element, the water made it got weaker and vanished before it contacted the target. Miorine who noticed that something when amiss asked Elan to stop the duel because someone should had tempering the heat detector which making it started although there were no fire accident in the arena. Elan said that he could not postpone the duel because of someone cheating due to the fact that any dueler who got advantages because he/she had  more proficient backup would not get penalized. Miorine understand that Sulleta also had her own backup. Miorine called Suleta through the mobile phone..she told her to survive from Guel's attack while she tried to solve the problem with the heat detector. After that, she went and rode a mobile worker like machine and head to the area where the heat detector control panel located. Using that machine, she managed to get to the area and found out the the two girls who always accompanied Guel were there; making the heat detector started.

Bare handed blade block the mech edition

Back to Sulleta, Miorine suddenly called her that the problem was no more and she could use the beam rifle again. After that Sulleta started to fight back using her Aerial's best weaponry; the Fin funnel like weapon. Once again Aerial proved to be a formidable opponent and started to rain the red mobile suit with its funnel blasting. The barrage was so strong that even with the most advanced Artificial intelligence, it still managed to broke the arms of the red mobile suit. It was at that crucial time that Vim contacted Guel and asked him to finish the the battle A.S.A.P. Guel asked why did his father had to cheat in order to win but his father only told that the result was the most important thing neither pride nor even dignity. Guel got angry and broke the artificial intelligence. He took the control  back from the A.I. and as Sulleta  almost hit his mobile suit using its beam saber, he managed to use the unit extra bits to be its finger and hold the beam saber from destroying his unit's antenna. With his pride at stake, he pushed Aerial back using every willpower that he had. As he managed to threw the Aerial, Sulleta pushed the Gundam back after regaining its momentum and managed to destroy the Darilbalde antenae. Once again the Aerial Gundam won the duel and as Sulleta noticed that Guel had just exiting his mobile suits, she opened the hatch as well. She told him that she was sorry for underestimating him before and she told him that he was strong. While saying so, she extended her hand for a hand shaking. To her surprise, at that moment Guel asked her to marry him.

Review

This was a great episode overall and it had so many things to cover that it got so much to write about lol. It managed to balance the drama and the mobile suit battle. And the good thing was the battle had a decent amount of time. Not to mention that quality of the battle was incredible and quite intense for such a limited time. The first thing that happened in this episode was about the revelation of Sulleta's mother as lady Prospera. Actually it was never a surprise for me due to one thing. The lady Prospera and her mother shared the same voice actress. Even some people in the net already guessed it before and didn't feel like it was a big revelation lol. It was not a brainer but with her appearance as the "masked" person (or Char Clone character trope) in the Gundam's franchise; it means that for the time being, the masked person was on the side of the main character. Normally the "Char's" character sided with the antagonists and he would fight the main character as his main rival in mobile suit battle. It was intriguing that this new "Char Clone" was taking a back seat as a Mobile suit pilot and moreover she had blood relation to the main protagonist; something that was never happened before in the Gundam Franchise

"Char clone helmet" version of Wizard from century

Also Guel had a nice character foretelling here. As the man who was considered the top Ace pilot of the academy, the installation of the A.I inside the cockpit was hurting his pride a lot. Why should he bother to get into the duel if he didn't had any control over the mobile suit. It seemed like playing a video game; expect you just watching the demo game play by itself so there was zero achievement on it. He grew up as a character too. Seeing how honest Sulleta was, he thought that the girl that had already beat him not only once but twice was no fluke. In the second meeting, he finally managed to regain the cockpit control and yet despite every set up made to make him winning the bout, he still lose. Meaning that despite her gender, Sulleta was an even better A.C.E. In addition to that, Sulleta didn't mock him for losing their first encounter and taught him as well not to run away. I  don't know if he really got totally smitten with Sulleta but one thing I could say is that Guel was not that bad as a person. He may be a jerk but he had a pride as a knight and as a man; He would rather accept defeat than won by cheating. In fact, I felt bad now should he got "sacrificed" at the end of the show. Something that I rarely felt for a secondary character who played an antagonist role.

The witch somehow managed to parry the blow using one hand only

Let not forget about our other main protagonist, Miorine. She might not be the pilot of the main Gundam but she was not a "wait and see" princess either. The moment she realized something was wrong with the heat detector, she instantly jumped into a maintenance like mobile suit to fix the source of the water showering device. Its show a strong willed character who was smart enough to recognize deception. At the end of the duel, she laughed proudly being able to outsmart her father's rule and proved to him that not everything should work on his way. She really makes me like this anime even more lol

Then the story of the reverse harem anime begins XD

The battle between Sulleta and Guel would do justice for a Gundam show . From the moment the mobile suit could protect itself (by using it bits to cover it's back), The beam rifle that lose it beams due to the artificial rain, how Sulleta tried desperate to stay on toes while her mobile suit already losing an arm and being gunned. There were no meaningless single battle scene here. We could witness how Sulleta started using Aerial's fin funnel a.k.a gun bits to counterattack as well as how Guel broke the A.I. system and manually control his Darilbalde to push Aerial back, these were no ordinary action scenes from your favorite Mecha genre. all steps were carefully crafted to make this episode stay intense till the end. The end part was amusing and make this already Yuri like Anime turned into a reverse harem anime in the making LMAO. I definitely love this episode and I think I Could still yapping if I wanted to lol Good job Sunrise ...See you again this Sunday.

Synopsis

Following last week episode,  The Heroes went inside Mekiv Cave to find Ruri partner Shinju. Siloh somehow got separated with Ruri inside the Mekiv cave and with a bit of luck he met with Shinjoh directly. She was a wandering alone inside the cave and from the looks of it, she had a problem with finding direction. Just as she walked a bit, some skeleton monster surrounding her. Fortunately Shiloh was already spotted her before so after watching her got surrounded by monsters, he could instantly obliterate them. After small greeting, Shiloh told Shinju about her partner Ruri and how they planned to find her inside the castle. However, at that moment, he was still looking for the missing Ruri and Shinju had not meet  him yet either. Just as our protagonists searched for Ruri, Shinju (who had a terrible sense of direction) wandered on her own again. Our little princess even walked too deep in the cave and meet directly with Du'inke; the monster that looks like a gigantic Yeti holding a giant club. The funny thing was, since she was naïve, she even asked the Du'inke about her friends whereabout Lol.

A standard Rider Kick used to save the Lost damsel in distress

Back to Shiloh, after being separated with Shinju, he meet again with Ruri who had just slaying some cave monsters. As they talked, they heard Du'inke's roar and instantly went to the source of the voice knowing that Shinju might be around there. They finally encounter the giant Yetti and soon after the fight started. Both Shiloh and Ruri used their best skills to conquer Du'inke but it proved to be stronger than they thought. At one occasion, Du'inke managed to grab Shinju and it enraged Ruri which made him charged bluntly to the monster only to get swatted like a fly. Shiloh Grab the falling Shinju-Hime and took her near to the injured Ruri. Knowing that only him remained, Shiloh tried his best to fight Du'inke alone yet even at his best, he still lose and got struck by the heavy club. When all hope seems lost,  suddenly a light just fill the place and Du'inke got swallowed by the blinding light. An image of a girl holding a spear appeared on the screen and the next thing we know, Du'inke was no more.

You only need to open a google map and you're PERFECT XD

The Three of them took some time to talk about their situation. Both Shinju and Ruri were actually a Jumi. Jumi is a gemstone which evolved into a human being or like what Ruri said a Gem Tribe. Ruri's Stone Core was based on Lapis Lazuli while Shinju was based on a White Pearl. They started a journey to find another their tribe and for as long as they know, they still had not found another Jumi. Before parting way, Shinju gave Shiloh an artifact that looks like a flame inside a crystal for a token of gratitude after saving her life. Before going home, Shiloh met with Domina's town people including Rachele, Duelle, Rachel's father (Mark), Cappela and Diddle (two of the town street performers).  At the beginning they asked whether Ruri had found his partner or not. Later, They told Shiloh to stay away from the Jumis because there was a saying that crying for Jumi might turn people into stone and their tears might cause a terrible storm. Shiloh said that the rumor was not proved yet so he didn't know if it's real or not.

The not so mysterious girl

During the night, Shiloh was sitting in his bed contemplating about what the townsfolk had said to him. Despite their warning regarding to Jumi, he still considered both Ruri and Shinju-hime as his precious friends and should anything happened to them, he would still shed tears even though crying might turn him into a stone. As he looked through the room's window, he noticed the merchant Nicollo and Inspector Boyd talking near his home. Still wearing his pajamas, he walked to them asking about what they were doing at late night. Nicollo instantly greeted him as his merchant buddy although Shiloh dislike that calling. Actually, during his earlier adventure, Nicollo just scam Shiloh for 300 loucre (the money currency in legend of mana). Nicollo who didn't want to refund the money instantly run away leaving both of them. Inspector Boyd then told Shiloh that he got a job from Healing temple of Gatto Grottoes. It  jewel hunter named Sandra sent a notification letter that she intended to steal the flame of hope from the temple. It was still unknown about the thing called the flame of hope..Is it a torch? or is it a Jumi?. One important thing was that Sandra the Jewel hunter also planned to hunt the tribe of Gem (Jumi). Knowing that his friends might be in danger, Shiloh decided that he would accompany Inspector Boyd to Gato Grottoes later.

Review

A decent episode from the second episode which at least give us some action although in my opinion, the effect was not really spectacular too see. I found Shinju-hime looks pretty cute in this anime adaptation and her way of kept saying Shiloh oni sama (Brother)was endearing. For the image of a lady holding a spear, it was actually the real form of Shinju-hime which we know as Lady Blackpearl. Unlike the Shinju that we know, Lady Blackpearl is a confidence person and very much a contrast of Shinju-hime's personality. In short, it was the real Shinju-hime that responsible for the killing of Du'inke(while her clumsy and naïve persona unconscious). What disappointed me was Square once again didn't animate the lady BlackPearl when she appeared and obliterated the giant Yetti and only showed her for a few second. I think for the gamer of the legend of Mana, her identity doesn't need to be concealed because we already know lol. Even if you look closely, the mysterious lady truly looks very identical to Shinju-hime except her gem were black instead of white. Still, since not all of the viewers might play the game before, SquareEnix and Warner brother of Japan decided to kept her BlackPearl persona hidden (for a while)

Never trust a merchant especially if he said he take no profit. Or calling u Buddy LOL

The story was started to get serious since I know about what's going to happen next in Gato Grottoes. However, since some of you might not have played the game, I thought it would be wise to kept the spoiler away for now. For this episode, I thought that the animation of the character was good yet the battle animation could still be better in my opinion. The fact that they also added character like Nicollo inside means that they didn't forget about him but maybe he would only have fewer role due to the focus of the anime was for the other characters like Shinju and Ruri. I am curious.. not about the plot actually (cos I already know xD) but about how well they could animate the next episode.

Synopsis

The second episode of the Witch from Mercury had just airing and it started following the aftermath of the battle between Aerial Gundam and Guel's Dilanza. Everyone at the academy shocked that a new student who is timid and had little confidence could completely defeat the best mobile suit ACE pilot in the academy. Meanwhile Sulleta was still unable to accept that suddenly the girl that he was just met yesterday now had become her fiancée. Miorine assured her though that her main motivation was only to get to the earth as soon as possible and she didn’t care about feelings nor marriage. Just after that the front management company Mobile suit squadron came to the scene. They decided to null the duel result and apprehended Sulleta as well as confiscated her mobile suits. Miorine was very angered because the order of apprehending Sulleta came directly from his father; Delling. In short, he used his absolute power to change the rules according to his likes which was the main reason why Miorine wanted to run away from the academy. Afterward, Sulleta was taken custody and she was being interrogated about her Gundam in which she denied that it was not a Gundam but Aerial. Meanwhile Delling held a conference with the council about the discovery of the Gundam mobile suit in the academy. They discussed that someone must had secretly built the machine because there were only miners in planet Mercury. So, after finding out that the Shin sei development Corporation of Mercury was the manufacturer of Aerial, they decided to call the company representatives.

Well either both of you alive and married happily ever after OR everyone dies in the end like usual :V

Meanwhile, Miorine was back in the garden until the friends of Guel pay her a visit. She at the beginning told them that it was Sulleta’s own problem for interfering with her problem. However, after the girls insult her that she was just an exact copy image of her father; she lost her patience and decided to contact Sulleta again. Not long after, one of her father’s men gave her a massage.  The massage was that Deling wanted her to marry the person of his choosing and she had to just cancel her study. She was very angered because of that one sided decision and tried to moved away from his father’s men. As she took a break in the toilet, someone just mentioned a map coordinate outside. The coordinate was the location in where she should be picked up in order to run away from the academy. As she opened the toilet door, she found herself a lady ready to take her away from that place.

Duo Maxwell be like...Where did I hear that line before ??

Back to Vim Geturk office, the representative showed herself to Vim. She was a masked lady known only as Lady Prospera. Both Vim and Prospera seemed that they had already met before as Vim mentioned that it’s been three years after their last meeting. In the other place, Sulleta was still in the captivity and she just remembered about her mom until someone entered the place. It was Elan Ceres who was one of the friends of Shaddiq Zenelly. He was one of the elite pilots of the academy as well as a talented sharpshooter. He came to the cell just to give Sulleta food since she would be very hungry after a long interrogation session. He also didn’t hold back telling Sulleta that she had piqued his interest; which Sulleta thought that he might like her ( although in the reality Elan just tell his friends that it was impossible for him to fall in love)

They already made a female Amuro so it didn't surprise me that they made the female Char

The last part of the anime focused on the meeting between the councils and Lady prospera. Instantly they interrogated the lady about her involvement to the Gundam mobile suit in their custody. First of all, the asked her if she was the witch and had relation to the Vanadis institute to which he said no to both of the question. When they asked about the mobile suit Aerial Gundam, she instantly explained that Aerial was never a Gundam but their latest drone technology. She later told Shadiq (who also attending the meeting) that if it was a mobile suit powered with Gund Arm format, a heavy storm of Permet data would already discovered during the mobile suits battle. The next scene showed us that Lady Prospera unattached her left arm (which turned out to be a mechanical arm) and threw it to Vim. She explained to the council that she had lost her arm and her eyes during Magnetic storm in mercury and that’s way she was wearing a mask and conceal her face. She argued that the only way Mercurian could mine Permet material in planet Mercury was by using their latest drone technology that they called as Aerial. Delling still could not accepting that lack of evidence as an excuse that Aerial was just a latest drone machine and he concluded that it was still a Gundam and the usage of Gundam was prohibited. Just then someone stormed the place. Miorine Rembran entered the room with angry look. She decided to postpone leaving the academy and stayed to recover her friend; Sulleta. She told his father that he was a just a big hypocrite for breaking the rule that he made himself. She demanded a duel between mobile suits and should Sulleta win the battle, Sulleta would still regain her status as Miorine’s fiancée. Just as Delling rejected his daughter proposal, Vim had an idea to let the Aerial perform once more. He told Delling about the emergence of other company’s mobile suit which shook their market share and Aerial performance might help them regaining their lost market. The last part of the anime showed us about Miorine entered Sulleta’s rooms. Miorine asked her to win the duel once more with bigger stake at hand. Should Sulleta lose her next duel, her Gundam will be scrapped completely and she will get expelled as well.

Love triangle? mmm maybe not

This episode is the one that I like from this series. True it doesn’t show a mobile suit battle and only focused on Miorine’s anger toward his father. Thankfully, it manages to make the series still interesting to watch and somehow I managed to grasp some points of the story. First of all, it was about Miorine’s position as the Chairman daughter’s. Being the Chairman’s only daughter, her suitor has the chance to become the next chairman; which means that he will have the power to govern the entire academy. The clue is how Delling can make the rules which he can break at any moment due to his absolute power in the academy hierarchy. In the last episode, Vim Jeturk wanted to assassinate Delling right away after Guel managed to defeat the aerial because the winner would be given the right to be Miorine’s fiancée. Killing Delling would make Guel as the man with power on his hand. Let’s not forget that Delling was a man in high position. He was a chairman of the academy; a council of a mobile suit development, as well as a Top manager of Grassley Defense Systems. Which makes it easier for Vim to became the next Chairman or at least become the real puppeteer behind his son’s rise to power.

You want instant recognition? turning into a pink Minnie Mouse will help XD

Another point I could see from this episode was about the caste difference between an Earthian and Spacian. Earthian was the named given to those people born in the earth; which including Nana and the girl with the mouse shaped hair; Chuatury "Chuchu" Panlunch. In other side, Spacian was the name given for people who was born and lives in the space. The difference was actually not obvious but from this episode we could see that the Spacian discriminate the Earthian and considered them as a lower caste in the society. For example, one of the executive told Nika to stay away from delving so far to Sulleta’s situation and asked her to focus only on study. In addition, the cafeteria’s event cemented how the Spacian students didn’t want any Earthian to sit on “their” eating place. It plays homage of the original Gundam where People who immigrated in space developed their own mobile suit to protect themselves and later tried to invade/drop the colony to the earth. Creating tension between those same human race divided by the place where they born.

Some people believe that it was NOT a Yuri anime..Well I also believe myself as the Queen of England LMAO

They managed to develop Miorine’s character in this episode which is nice knowing that she had her own reason to fly away from his father grasp. Everything that happened to her live was dictated by his father. She was forced to be an empty doll that was played and asked to do whatever her master asked. Yet, Miorine was still a human being. She too had her own dream for example; playing piano, making friends, marrying the person that she loved. Her cried shows frustration toward her condition (thanks for her V.A who makes her frustration sounds very real in this episode). Push her even more and she might either do suicide or become an empty vessel. In the end she chooses to defy her father and confront him directly even though she had the chance to run away from the academy. Great character storytelling and development for this episode and the end really makes me eager to see the next episode.

I  was surprised when finding out about the existence of Legend of Mana anime. As a gamer that spent my teenager’s day during 90s, I played most of the Playstation’s Role playing games notably those made by Squaresoft (now Squareenix). Just few months ago, the remake of Legend of Mana was published for newer consoles and before long, the anime adaptation also made it first airing. With high expectation, I waited and watched the first episode of this anime yesterday. The anime adaptation had a specific name “Teardrop of crystal” and from the opening animation, I could see that the anime will feature both of the Male hero and the female heroines. In the original game, we could only choose one gender and both of them were considered as one single person (with different gender of course). Before giving my thought about this first episode, let’s see what the storyline of the first episode is. LET’S GO

This little cacti basically notes the protagonist's game progress

The anime started with the scene with Shiloh (the male protagonist) falling from the sky. He terriefied with his falling situation until suddenly he was engulfed in bubble and a voice told him to stay calm. He met the Elf lady like being whose telling him to rest assure. For those of you who had not played the original game, she was not just an ordinary elf-lady. Actually she is the Mana Goddess; notably the one who creates the balance of the world. Unlike the original game, she didn’t tell Shiloh that the Mana Tree is dying. She only mentioned to Shiloh that she was the embodiment of love and she was waiting for Shiloh to deliver other people wishes to her. The next morning, Shiloh wake up in his home; feeling a weird sensation as the dream about the meeting with the Goddess kept repeating from time to time. In the next scene, he went downstairs and he met the two small magicians (they are a twin named Bud and Corona in this anime) who happened to wreak havoc in the village some days earlier came to meet him. They called him master and asked him to teach them magic. However, he declined because he was not a magician so he could teach them nothing although at the end he let them to stay on is house.

Two little mischief maker turned into a team party member ingame

The scene moves to the introduction of the characters including the anthropomorphic leaf like creature (sproutling), a talking tree named Trent and later on the cute little monsters that Shiloh kept as pets. After picking tomatoes, Shiloh asked the two little magicians to help him feeding the pets while he would go to Domina town in order to share the harvest with the townsfolk. While in the town, Shiloh overheard the town onion guards; Duelle shouting to a person in a green cloak. He asked his name but only got a silent treatment from him. Later on he told Shiloh that the man in green cloak asked him to find someone so he suggested that he searched the tavern. Suddenly there’s a shouting inside the tavern. The man forcefully asked the tavern’s bar maid; Rachel about his partner whereabouts. Rachel frightened because she didn’t really know the whereabouts of the person mentioned; however, the man kept pressuring him. Duelle challenged the man (who in this anime using his Japanese given name Ruri instead of Elazul) to a one on one duel. Surprisingly, the little knight could handle him using a foot swipe and he was instantly taken down. After calming down, Ruri explained that he was looking for his missing partner. His partner was named Shinju (Pearl) and he could only felt her faint presence in the tavern.

"I am not a dancing little man yo...this was my sweeping move"

Shiloh continues to meet with Nouvelle a bird like creature to whom he would give his harvest. Nouvelle explained that Shiloh had already living with them for the past ten years and he told Shiloh that he was given a freedom to pursue what he likes. When Shiloh exited from the building, Ruri already waited for him. He asked Shiloh to help him finding Shinju and he wanted to apologize to Rachel for his harsh behavior earlier. In the next scene, we saw the protagonist, Ruri, Duelle in Rachel’s house. Rachel understood about Ruri condition and accepted his apology. However, she still had not had a slightest clue regarding to his partner whereabouts. The only thing she could do at that moment was to give the artifact for them. It was a green jade looking stone and just when Ruri touched the stone, suddenly an image of Mekiv cave appeared to them and it crushed just after the cave manifested. Knowing that the artifact might lead them to Shinju, Ruri, Shiloh and Duelle headed to the monster infested cave (which later only Ruri and Shiloh entered to the cave due to Duelle going back for having other business).

For a supporting character Rachel looks pretty waifuable xD

Review

I knew that for some viewers, Legend of Mana might be a bit slow and boring due to how simple it first episode is. It was more like an introductory animation of the world of Mana and even if it had a bit of conflict, it was resolved rather quickly and without too much emotion or impact on it. The reason was because it tried to stay true to the original game and maintaining the storytelling of the original game instead of jumping directly into a battle themed anime. For the first episode, in my humble opinion, Teardrop of crystal was a bit disappointing. If we look at the game story, it was possible for the Squareenix to animate the battle between Shiloh and the two magicians. Yet, they opted to simplify the scene and told the viewers about the event using only few animated scenes which they could do better. In addition, I thought the first episode would end with the boss fight with Ruri and Shiloh defeating the big boss yeti like creature which resides in the cavern. In contrast, it ended with the heroes entering the cave in a rescue mission to find Shinju; which means that the pacing was even slower than my imagination.

"Waifu battle? Im not gonna lose to some side character am I?"  (Pearl 2022)

The anime’s positive vibe was from its willingness to stay true to its root making it felt like nostalgia for the fans. Like when it incorporates the use of its original soundtrack in the town of Domina. The players of the game would instantly recognize the tune. The coloring of the protagonist’s home also looks identical to the ones we saw on the video game remakes. It’s colorful and the attention of detail was amazing. The way they portrayed the characters also shows that they used a decent budget for this anime. Not to mention that in this anime we could see how pretty Rachel actually looks like (compared to when we saw her in game lol).Maybe the reason why I felt that the first episode was lacking was due to the fact that I already playing the game before. Therefore, I already expected what’s going to happen, or who was the character that he will meet at Domina. Meanwhile, newer viewer of the anime may excite about what’s going to happen next because at the same time, the ending for the first episode is kind of a cliffhanger. They may expected the first action themed adventure yet the anime postponed it for the next episode. I am not happy with this episode but still had high hopes for this anime
