How can a video game replicated my past in full detail??@-@ Kyuukyoku Shinka shita Full Dive RPG ga Genjitsu yori mo Kusoge Dattara Fourth stage impression
The latest episode for Full Dive RPG focused on the character background especially our main hero, Hiroshi Yuki. For this episode, we can forget about the Kiwame quest for a moment because the majority of this episode focused more on Hiro’s past and his real life events. In the last week episode, we saw how Hiro’s wet his pants due to get extremely frightened by Mizariza’s torture. It ended with Hiro saying that he will never play the game ever again. This episode generally explained that the last episode event technically reminded him of his embarrassing past when he still competed as the school’s track athletes.
In real life he wet his pants..the game didn't treat him differently either |
The scene went back to the time
when Hiro was preparing to participate on his annual track meeting. On that time, his relation
with her sister; Kaede was still on good term. She cheered on him and felt very
proud to have him as a brother. Just before he started the track, he went to
the toilet to pee. While he was in the toilet, he met professional runner
athletes, a foreigner as well as a japanophile named Mike Mclachlan. The runner
recognized him (Hiro), which gave enough pressure for our main character because
his support also meant that if he failed or done the run miserably, it will
hinder his progress as a track athlete. Due to his anxiety, he forgot to pee
and the track event started sooner than what he was expected
Onichan no BAKA moment |
During the run, his anxiety
affected his performance and when Hiro tried to moves faster, it made his body
movement became unstable. Too much anxiety complete with him holding his pee
only got worse as he fell on his track. It ended up with him wetting his pant
for real and worse of all, there were many fans who watched his wet traces; turning
him into a total embarrassment. His sister tried to cheer him up; saying that
there will be another time. Yet, Hiro who already felt as if his only chance
flew away..not to mention that he also turned himself into a biggest clown in
the track field, got angry and emotional to her. It also served as the point
when his relationship to his sister turns into a broken one. From this day forward,
his sister only saw him as a failure who can’t win on anything. Yet, I believe
that deep down inside, she was hoped that one day Hiro will start running again
(actually it was my guess xP).
If Hiro completed it, he might be even stronger than a certain hero named the caped baldy xD |
Another major point that this
episode wanted to tell us was about how he want to sell the Kiwame quest back
to the game store. Sharon asked him why did he give up on the quest (despite
she unknowingly said how trashy KQ was lol) and later on she tried to encourage
him playing again. She generally told Hiro about Kamui; the same person that
the big sumo guy (who his name was..uh Ginji xP) mentioned before. He made a
guide about the Kiwame quest and also how to finish the game in the internet.
In spite of the fact that the guide was not detailed with picture or only in
text format, the words that he used to explain to his guide readers were enough
to rail Hiro’s emotion. Actually, even
with the aforementioned guide, Hiroshi still could not get interested to play
the game until Sharon told him that if he can somehow finish the game, she will
date and marry him for real. The episode ended with hiro went back to the game
world once again and the soldier took him to meet the king.
She wanted you to play a crappy game lmao |
Episode review
I am not really enjoyed the
current episode because the pace tend to get slower nowadays. Still, it was a
setting point episode which tried to link the character’s background altogether
especially to Hiro, and Kaede, and it told us a bit about Kamui and Sharon personality too. In addition, the episode managed
to explain why he felt really infuriating after last episode final (well ...wetting his pant was his berserk button
after all). It also answered the secret that this anime keep from us since the first episode (regarding to him used to run before). In short, This episode
was a breather episode with less action and more on character’s background
expansion/drama rather than character development. I guess thing will start
heating up in the next episode as he was already back in game just before the
credit rolling and I hope I can get more enjoyment in the future episodes.
